Bomb Threat at Milford Senior High School Being Investigated

Incident # 51.16.336 Released by Sgt. Robert W. MastenMHS.jpg

On 01.12.2016 Milford Senior High School received an anonymous phone call claiming there was a bomb in the building.  Milford Senior High School and Milford Central Academy administrations, along with district office personnel and Milford Police Department School Resource Officers immediately began the process of evacuation and dismissal of students.  K-9 Units from the Delaware State Police and the Dover Air Force Base responded to the campus of the two schools and conducted a search of the property.  Both schools were deemed safe and reopened to staff.  There are reports of other area schools receiving similar threats.  Milford Police are working with other agencies as this matter is being investigated.  We urge anyone with information about this incident or any of the threats made to other schools to please call 302.422.8081 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.TIP.3333.  Tips can also be submitted via the Milford Police MyPD APP or our social media outlets.  We would like to thank the students and parents effected by today’s threat for their understanding and cooperation with the dismissal process.
