Winter Storm Information for Milford Area Residents

With the approaching winter storm we urge Milford area residents to stay up to date on the forecasts and current conditions as the storm arrives.  We ask motorist to only travel if necessary if the weather conditions deteriorate as being forecast.  We recommend  for people to follow releases by area media outlets, the National Weather Service, and our emergency  partners such as the Delaware Department of Transportation, Sussex County EOC, Delaware Emergency Management, Carlisle Fire Company, Delaware State Police Newsroom, the City of Milford, ect.  We will continue to release up to date information on our Facebook page and Twitter (@MilfordPoliceDE).  With the projected rise in tides, also be aware when traveling on roadways in the area of the Mispillion River and low lying areas east of the city limits.  Residents who live on the snow routes also remember there is no parking after snow fall exceeds one hour and vehicles that remain are subject to being towed.  The snow routes are North Walnut Street, South Walnut Street, Lakeview Avenue, Southeast Front Street, Northeast Front Street, and Northwest Front Street.
