Milford man charged with Strangulation during domestic incident

On 3/31/16 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 33yo Milford man stemming from a domestic incident that occurred at a residence located in the 100 block of North St. on 3/31/16. Charles Jamesly was charged with Aggravated Menacing, Strangulation, Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree, Terroristic Threatening and Offensive Touching. Investigation revealed that Charles was involved in a verbal dispute with the 37yo female victim. During the dispute, Charles began kicking the female victim in the stomach. As the female victim attempted to leave out of the door to the residence, Charles closed the door refusing to allow the female victim to leave. Charles threatened to kill the female victim, threw her to the ground and began to strangle her. The female victim was able free herself and contact the Milford Police. The female victim suffered minor injuries as a result but refused medical treatment. Charles was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $12,500.00 secured bond.
