Milford Police Make Arrest In Strong Armed Robbery At CVS

On 12.29.2016 New Castle County Police Department took Christina M. McBride, 31 of Claymont, into custody after the investigation in this case led to a warrant being obtained for her arrest.  Ms. McBride was identified through numerous public tips following the earlier release about this matter.  Ms. McBride has been charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Disorderly Conduct.  Ms. McBride was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court 11 in New Castle, where bail was set $5600.00 secured.  Ms. McBride has been committed to the Delores J. Baylor Womens Correctional Institution and is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on January 13th, 2017.

The Milford Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a female suspect that was involved in a strong armed robbery at the CVS Pharmacy located in the 600 block of N. Dupont Blvd. The female entered the store with a school age male juvenile and attempted to remove several items from the shelves and flee from the store. The female was contacted by a store employee after the security system had been activated. As the employee stood in at the sliding double door entrance/ exit area, the female suspect rammed her body into the employee several times while attempting to once again flee the store with the merchandise. As a result the employee suffered an injury to her arm. The female suspect then fled the store with the juvenile and left the area in a tan colored Ford F250. The female is described as white, brown hair, large build, approx. 170-190 lbs 5’5 to 5’7, approx. 25 to 30yo, wearing dark colored jacket, dark colored pants and a light colored shirt. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspect is asked to contact Cpl.
