Residential Burglary Investigation Leads To Arrest Of Ellendale man

On 01.18.2017 Milford Police Detectives arrested a 23 year old Ellendale man after warrants were obtained following the completion of a burglary investigation.  On 01.05.2017 Milford Police were contacted after the residents of a home on Crestview Drive returned home to find multiple items were missing, including car keys, electronics, tools, jewelry, and a firearm.  Following the initial report and prior to the man being taken into custody, it was later reported he returned to the home and took the vehicle that the keys he previously removed belonged to.  On 01.18.2017 Milford Police Detectives received information that Michael C. Foskey, 23 of Ellendale, was reportedly in the Woodside area.  Detectives acted on this information and were able to locate and take Mr. Foskey into custody without incident at a gas station in Woodside.  Mr. Foskey has been charged with Burglary Second Degree, Theft of a Firearm, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Theft $1500 or Greater, and two counts of Theft $1500 or Greater and Victim is 62 Yrs of Age or Older.  Mr. Foskey was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3 in Georgetown where bail was set at $6000.00 secured.  Mr. Foskey has been committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution.  Mr. Foskey also was wanted by the Delaware State Police and the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.  Mr. Foskey is next scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on 01.26.2017 for a Preliminary Hearing.
