Milford Police Investigate Attempted Burglary On McColley Street and Seek Assistance From The Public

On 01.24.2017 at approximately 9:20 pm officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the 500 block of McColley Street to a report of an attempted burglary.  Investigation revealed an unknown suspect attempted to gain entry to a residence, but fled once he was discovered by an occupant of that residence.  The suspect reportedly fled in a northwesterly direction from the home and was unable to be located by responding officers after a search of the area.  The suspect did not gain entry into the residence and none of the occupants were harmed.  The suspect was described as a male and wearing all gray clothing, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with an average build.  Milford Police urge anyone with information about this incident to call 302.42.8081 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.TIP.3333.  Tips can also be submitted online at
