Update- Suspect Positively Identified 2/8/2017

Moments after the the video and photographed was released to social media, the Milford Police Department received several tips naming the suspect as Joseph W. Prouse Jr. a 23 year old male, from Milford.  Prouse is homeless and last known to be staying in the Milford area.  The Milford Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Prouse.

The Milford Police Department is investigating the robbery of Wawa, located on N. DuPont Hwy, Milford, DE,  Investigation revealed that a white male entered the store at approximately 11:45pm and presented the clerk with a note advising that he had a gun and demanded U.S. Currency.  The clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and fled from the store.  No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.  The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 6’2″-6’3″, thin build, wearing glasses, a gray hoodie and dark colored pants.  Anyone with information in reference to this incident is asked to contact Det.
