The Milford Police Department Patrol Division arrested Meagan Miller, 19 of Lincoln DE, for a shoplifting case that occurred in October 2016.  Investigation showed that Miller allegedly assisted another subject with shoplifting several items from Walmart by concealing the merchandise in a plastic Walmart bag that they brought into the store and walking out with the merchandise.  The investigation showed that after the two shoplifted from the store, Miller allegedly re-entered the store wearing different clothing and returned the stolen merchandise receiving U.S. Currency for the stolen merchandise.  Miller was charged with Possession of Shoplifter’s Tools, Shoplifting under $1500, Theft by False Pretense under $1500, Use of Illegitimate Retail Sales Receipt, and Conspiracy 3rd Degree.  Miller was arraigned on those charges through Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was released on $9000.00 USC unsecured bail.  Miller was given a preliminary hearing date in Kent County Court of Common Pleas for 02/24/2017.  Miller was also wanted out of Seaford PD and was processed on charges for that agency as well.
