Motor Vehicle Collision Results Multiple Charges For New Jersey Man

On 02.21.2017 officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to South Walnut Street in the area of McCoy Street to a report of a vehicle that struck a utility pole, with both the operator and passenger fleeing the scene.  As this matter was being investigated Vincent L. Daniels, 54 of Vineland, New Jersey, responded to the Milford Police Department to report the vehicle stolen.  Further investigation later determined Mr. Daniels was reportedly the operator of the vehicle and fled the scene prior to police arrival.  A warrant was later obtained for Mr. Daniels and he has been charged with Leaving the Scene of a Collision Resulting in Injury, Driving Without a Valid License, Failure To Have Insurance Identification, Careless Driving, and Failure to Report a Collision.  Mr. Daniels was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $702.00 unsecured.  Mr. Daniels is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on March 20th for an arraignment.
