Milford Man Arrested For Violation of a Protection from Abuse Order (PFA)

On 03/07/2017,  Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to an apartment in the Milford Crossing Development for a Violation of a Protective from Abuse Order (PFA).  Units contacted the victim, who advised that they currently has an active PFA against, Michael Hester, 33 of Milford, DE.  The victim advised that Hester allegedly responded to the apartment on 03/07/2017 and began banging on the door several times and yelling at the victim through the door.  The victim advised that they looked out and confirmed that it was Hester outside the residence.  Patrol Units confirmed that the PFA was in place and had been served to Hester before obtaining a warrant for Hester for this incident.

On 03/09/2017, Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to Walmart due to the victim calling advising that Hester had allegedly violated the PFA order again.  The victim alleged that Hester responded to their work place and approached them several times attempting to talk.  Patrol officers checked video surveillance footage and observed Hester making contact with the victim numerous times inside the store.  Patrol officers located Hester in a nearby parking lot and took him into custody.

Hester was charged with two counts of Criminal Contempt Of A Domestic Violence Protective Order, one count of Harassment, and one count of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree.  He was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 2.  He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $3001.00 USC cash bail.  He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.  He was given a future preliminary hearing date in Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
