Traffic Collision Investigation Leads To Multiple Charges For Houston Man

On 07.12.2017 at approximately 5:15 am, officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a motor vehicle collision in which a vehicle struck a pole with the operator fleeing the scene.  Investigation revealed a 2006 Ford Fusion had struck a utility pole in the 600 block of South Walnut Street, causing damage to the vehicle, pole, and the yard the vehicle travelled through.  The operator fled the scene, but investigation revealed the operator was reportedly Tanner N. Stevens, 23 of Houston.  Following the completion of the investigation a warrant was obtained and on 07.20.2017 Mr. Stevens was charged with Leaving the Scene of Property Collision Accident, Malicious Mischief By a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Provide Information At Collision Scene Resulting in Property Damage, Failed To Remain Within A Single Lane, Failure to Report a Collision To Police, and Careless Driving.  Mr. Stevens was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3 in Georgetown and was released on his own recognizance.
