On 10.11.2017 at approximately 12:53 am, an officer from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Toyota in the 300 block of Marshall Street after observing the vehicle make a U-Turn and driving erratically. The officer made initial contact with the operator and noticed a smell of alcoholic beverage. Martin R. Willey, 55 of Milton, was taken into custody at the scene following the investigation by the officer. A subsequent search of his vehicle located 9.9 grams of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Willey has been charged with 6th Offense Driving a Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol, Possession of Marijuana, and Fail To Remain Within A Single Lane. Mr. Willey was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3 in Georgetown, where bail was set at $6500.00 secured. Mr. Willey has been committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correction Institution.
