Houston Man Charged With 5th Offense DUI

On 11.15.2017 Milford Police arrested a 50 year old Houston man following an investigation into an impaired driving.  An officer from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division stopped a Chevrolet operated by John Pleasanton, 50 of Houston, in the 500 block of North Walnut Street after observing a moving violation.  During the officers initial contact with Mr. Pleasanton a smell of alcoholic beverage was noticed.  Further investigation, including field sobriety tests, led to Mr. Pleasanton being taken into custody.  Mr. Pleasasnton has been charged with 5th Offense Driving a Vehicle under the
Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Suspended or Revoked,  Accelerate to Cause Wheels to Spin or Slip on Road, Failure to Have Insurance Identification in Possession, Failure to Have Registration Card in Possession, and Expired Tags.  Mr. Pleasanton was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $4302.00 unsecured.  Mr. Pleasanton is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 12.01.2017 for a Preliminary Hearing.
