Physical Altercation Leads To Arrest Of Milford Man

On 11.25.2017 officers from the Milford Police Department responded to an apartment in the Brightway Commons apartment complex to a report of a physical altercation.  Investigation revealed Wilmer L. Turner, 50 of Milford, arrived at the apartment and engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim after Mr. Turner reportedly refused requests to leave the apartment.  At that time it’s reported Mr. Turner struck the victim, causing minor injuries, and then threatened further harm if the police were called.  The victim was able to notify police, but Mr. Turner fled prior to officer arrival.  It was also learned that Mr. Turner had been banned from the property of Brightway Commons earlier this year.  As a result of this incident a warrant was obtained for Mr. Turner and on 11.28.2017 Milford Police were  contacted by Delaware Probation and Parole that they had taken Mr. Turner into custody.  Mr. Turner has been charged with Offensive Touching, Criminal Trespass Third Degree, and Terroristic Threatening.  Mr. Turner was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $1000.00 secured.  Mr. Turner  was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution.
