Investigation Into Disorderly Behavior Results In Wanted Man Being Located and Crack Cocaine Being Seized

On 12.18.2017, at approximately 11:30 pm, officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the 500 block of South Walnut Street to a report of subjects walking in the area and being loud.  Upon arrival officers were able to locate one individual and investigation during contact with that individual learned he was wanted by the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas dating back to 2015.  James E. Jackson Jr., of Sturgis, SD, was taken into custody without incident.  A subsequent search located crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in Mr. Jackson’s Possession.  Mr. Jackson has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Mr. Jackson was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3 in Georgetown, where bail was set at $500.00 unsecured.  Mr. Jackson was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution on the active warrants out of the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas.  Mr. Jackson is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas in January for an arraignment.  Updated photo not available at the time of this release.
