Foot Patrol Leads To Drug Charges And Wanted Man Being Located

Location of Incident: Brightway Commons Apartment Complex

On 03.12.2018 officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division located a wanted man as they were conducting a proactive foot patrol in Brightway Commons.  At approximately 1:51 am officers contacted Jerry N. Evans, 46 of Lincoln, acting suspiciously in the area of one of the apartments.  It was learned that Mr. Evans was wanted by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas.  A subsequent search located crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in Mr. Evans possession.  Mr. Evans was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Mr. Evans was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $1000.00 unsecured.  Mr. Evans is scheduled for an arraignment at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas in May.
