Traffic Stop Leads To Multiple Charges For Lincoln Man

Location: Maple Avenue / Northwest Front Street (SR 14)

On 03.22.2018 at approximately 12:18 pm, an officer from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested a 20 year old Lincoln man following an investigation into an impaired driving.  Zachary J. Baughman, 20 of Lincoln, was stopped in the area of Maple Avenue and Northwest Front Street (SR 14) after he was observed operating a Buick while having a revoked Delaware driver’s license.  Further investigation during the stop revealed Mr. Baughman was reportedly operating the vehicle while being impaired by alcohol.  A subsequent search located drug paraphernalia and a fake drivers license from another state.  Mr. Baughman has been charged with Driving While Suspended or Revoked, Forgery 2nd Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence.  Mr. Baughman was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $3500.00 unsecured.  Mr. Baughman is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 04.06.2018 for a Preliminary Hearing.
