Investigation Leads To Multiple Charges For Milford Man

Location Of Incidents: Mullet Run and North Walnut Street

On 03.23.2018 Milford Police arrested a 38 year old Milford man after a joint investigation with the Milford Police Department’s Drug Unit and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force located him on Mullet Run.  Antonio Tyler, 38 of Milford, was actively being sought by the Milford Police Department following a 03.21.2018 incident in which he fled from a patrol officer who was making contact with him after a report of him being unresponsive in a vehicle on North Walnut Street.  During that incident Mr. Tyler fled as the officer was speaking with him.  A brief vehicle pursuit ensued, but was discontinued due to safety concerns for other motorist on the roadway.  As a result of that incident a warrant was obtained for Mr. Tyler.  As a result of Mr. Tyler being wanted, surveillance was conducted and he was located and taken into custody on Mullet Run on 03.23.2018.  A subsequent search after Mr. Tyler was taken into custody located heroin, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.  Mr. Tyler has been charged with Resisting Arrest, Disregarding a Police Officer Signal, Reckless Driving, Failure to Stop at Red Light, Fail To Drive In Proper Lane and Direction, Possession With The Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance With an Aggravating Factor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with an Aggravated Factor.  Mr. Tyler was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $26,201.00 secured.  Mr. Tyler has been committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution.  Mr. Tyler is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 04.06.2018 for a Preliminary Hearing.
