Downtown Fight Results In Weapon Charges For Milton Man

Location of Incident: Park Avenue and North Washington Street

On 04.07.2018 at approximately 11:09 pm, officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of Park Avenue and North Washington Street to an altercation.  An officer in the area observed what was believed to be an altercation and upon making contact with the crowd heard yelling that someone in the crowd had a gun.  Officers eventually gained control of the crowd and took two men into custody.  Further investigation determined a verbal altercation ensued between the two men, at which time one of the two men went to a nearby vehicle and retrieved a shotgun, racked the slide, and pointed it towards the other man.  The victim then struggled with Charles J. Larsen Jr., 32 of Milton, until he released the shotgun.  The victim was released without being charged as the facts of the incident were learned.  Mr. Larsen has been charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, two counts of Aggravated Menacing, and Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence.  Mr. Larsen was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3, where bail was set at $20,000.00 secured.  Mr. Larsen was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution and scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 04.13.2018 for a Preliminary Hearing.
