Assault Investigations Lead To Multiple Charges For Milford Man

On 05.17.2018 Milford Police arrested a Milford man after warrants were obtained following two investigations this month.  The first of the two incidents was on May 4th, when Ricky E. Ness, 31 of Milford, reportedly contacted two alleged victims on Southeast Front Street (SR 36) at approximately 1:51 am, which violated an active no contact order issued earlier this year between Mr. Ness and one of the two.  During this contact it’s been alleged that Mr. Ness shoved the other victim, causing a minor injury.  The second of the two incidents occurred on 05.13.2018 at approximately 7:00 pm on Southeast Front Street.  During that incident it’s been reported that Mr. Ness again contacted a victim in which there was an active no contact order.  During this incident Mr. Ness reportedly struck the victim, causing minor injuries.  Mr. Ness also reportedly made statements that led the victim to fear for their life, as well preventing the victim to leave the home.  On 05.17.2018 Mr. Ness turned himself into police.  Mr. Ness has been charged with two counts of Breach of Release, two counts of Assault 3rd Degree, Terroristic Threatening, and Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree.  Mr. Ness was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3 in Georgetown, where bail was set at $5000.00 cash.  Mr. Ness is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on 05.24.2018 for a Preliminary Hearing.  Mr. Ness has been committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution.
