Impaired Driving Leads Multiple Charges For Lincoln Man

Location of Incident: South Rehoboth Boulevard / Southeast 2nd Street

On 06.24.2018 Milford Police arrested a Lincoln man following an investigation into an impaired driving.  On 06.24.2018 at approximately 1:38 am, an officer on patrol on South Rehoboth Boulevard stopped a tractor trailer after observing it being driven with no headlights activated.  Further investigation that included field sobriety tests, led to Ronald W. Morgan, 50 of Lincoln, being taken into custody.  The investigating officer also learned Mr. Morgan was wanted by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas.  A subsequent search, that included a K9 alert, led to United States Currency, drug paraphernalia, heroin, and crack cocaine.  Mr. Morgan has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle With a BAC of .04 or Above or While Impaired by Drugs, Failure to Have Insurance Identification in Possession, Fictitious or Cancelled Registration, and Failure to Have Lights On When Required.  Mr. Morgan was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3, where bail was set at $1203.00 cash.  Mr. Morgan is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on 07.12.2018 for an arraignment.
