Stalking Investigation Leads To Arrest Of Smyrna Man

Location of Incident: Various Areas Within The Limits Of Milford, DE

On July 6th, 2018 Milford Police arrested a Smyrna man following an investigation into an alleged stalking.  On July 6th, 2018 an investigation began after it was learned Bernard H. Williams, 39 of Smyrna, allegedly followed the victim in his vehicle as she drove through various areas of the city.  It was also learned Mr. Williams reportedly called the victim in excess 20 times within an 45 minute period.  As the officers were speaking with the victim Mr. Williams was observed by them in the area.  The officers were able to make contact with Mr. Williams during a subsequent traffic stop and take him into custody.  Mr. Williams has been charged with Stalking and Driving While Suspended or Revoked.  Mr. Williams was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $1025.00 cash, which was posted and he was released.  Mr. Williams is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on July 13th, 2018.  Williams
