Impaired Driving Investigation Leads To Milford Man Being Charged With 5th Offense DUI

On 07.06.2018 an investigation into an impaired driving led to the arrest of a Milford man.  On 07.06.2018 an officer on patrol in the area of Northwest Front Street (SR 14) located a vehicle that he was on the lookout for following reports received by Milford Police Communications.  The officer located the vehicle and made contact with the operator in the 600 block of Northwest Front Street (SR 14).  Further investigation led to Lawrence A. Stockman, 33 of Milford being taken into custody for suspicion of operating the vehicle while impaired.  It was also learned by the officer Mr. Stockman had four prior convictions for Driving Under The Influence.  Mr. Stockman was charged with 5th Offense after 4 prior offenses – Driving a Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While Suspended or Revoked.  Mr. Stockman was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $5500.00 secured.  Mr. Stockman was scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 07.13.2018 for a Preliminary Hearing.
