Released by Pfc. Mikhail Stanton on 07/26/2018

Incident# 51-18-7684

On 07/11/2018 Milford Police received a complaint of harassment from a victim alleging that their landlord, David Kenton, 71 of Milford had been harassing them. The victim told Milford Police that for months they received multiple text messages from Mr. Kenton asking them to go out with him on a date. The victim stated each time they refused Mr. Kenton threatened to evict them, and would put a note of eviction on their door. After further investigation of the matter, Milford Police found probable cause to request an arrest warrant, and obtained one from the Justice of the Peace Court 2.

On 07/26/2018 David Kenton turned himself into the Milford Police Department without incident. He was charged with Harassment, and presented at the Justice of the Peace Court 2 where his bail was set at $500.00 unsecured. He was also given a no contact order with the victim. He is scheduled to appear at the Sussex Court of Common Pleas on 08/27/2018.
