**Update With Arrest** Milford Police Investigating Theft Of City Owned Vehicle

On 08.08.2018 Milford Police arrested Maurice Harrison, 28 of Georgetown, and charged him with one count of Theft of a Motor Vehicle.  Mr. Harrison was identified during this investigation after latent prints were collected from the vehicle by the Milford Police Department’s Evidence Technician and analyzed by the State Bureau of Identification.  Mr. Harrison was observed by an officer walking in the area of Northwest 3rd Street at approximately 4:45 am.  Mr. Harrison was taken into custody without incident.  Mr. Harrison was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3, where bail was set at $500.00 secured.  Mr. Harrison was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution.

**Original Release**

Milford Police are asking for assistance from the public with locating a city owned vehicle taken from the Milford Parks and Recreation building on Franklin Street.  Investigation revealed a white 2006 Chevrolet Colorado was taken from the parking lot of Milford Parks and Recreation shortly after 5:00 am this morning.  The investigating officer learned the vehicle was later believed to be in the Georgetown, DE area shortly after the theft.  The pictures below are photos of a similar vehicle and the spray tank below was similar to one in the bed of the truck.  The City of Milford Logo below was on both doors and the rear of the truck.  Anyone with information about this matter is urged to call 302.422.8081 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.TIP.3333.  Tips can also be submitted online at MilfordPoliceDE.org/TIPS
