Equipment Violation Leads To Drug Charges For Georgetown Man

On 11.21.2018 Milford Police arrested a Georgetown man after a traffic stop for an equipment violation led to marijuana, United States Currency, and a club type weapon being found.  On 11.21.2018 an officer on patrol in the area of Church Street observed a Ford Crown Victoria being operated with an equipment violation.  A subsequent stop of that vehicle in the 900 block of North Walnut Street led to contact with it’s operator, Alejandro Exantus, 28 of Georgetown.  Further investigation during the stop led to 50.3 grams of marijuana, United States Currency, and a club type weapon being seized.  Mr. Exantus also provided a false name during the course of this investigation.  Mr. Exantus was taken into custody and has been charged with Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Criminal Impersonation, Carrying a Concealed Dangerous Instrument, and Driving Without a Valid License.  Mr. Exantus was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $22,001.00 secured.  Mr. Exantus was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing on 11.30.2018 at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
