Traffic Stop Leads To Drug and Weapon Charges For Harrington Man

On 11.23.2018 Milford Police arrested a Harrington man after an investigation during a traffic stop led to the seizure of handgun, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.  On 11.23.2018 at approximately 1:46 am, an officer on patrol on South Rehoboth Boulevard observed a vehicle being operated with an equipment violation.  During the subsequent stop of the vehicle the officer noticed a smell of marijuana.  Further investigation led to a 9mm handgun, 12 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia being seized.  Kaleb M. Tribek, 19 of Harrington, was taken into custody.  Officers also found the handguns serial number had previously been removed during their investigation.  Mr. Tribeck has been charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession With The Intent To Deliver A Controlled Substance, Possession of a Weapon with a Removed, Obliterated or Altered Serial Number, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Deadly Weapon By Person Who Also Possesses a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Have Two Headlamps.  Mr. Tribeck was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3, where bail was set at $31,700.00 secured.  Mr. Tribeck was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on 11.29.2018 for a Preliminary Hearing.
