Proactive Patrol In Brightway Commons Leads To Drug Charges For Pair

On 10.02.2019 at 11:52 pm an officer from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division was conducting a proactive patrol of Brightway Commons.  During this patrol the officer located a parked vehicle that was occupied with a noticeable smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  Contact with the two occupants and further investigation located marijuana, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.  Neajah Fassett, 22 of Chester, Pennsylvania, and Tyrese R. Carter, 30 of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania were both taken into custody without incident.  Mr. Carter was also found to be wanted by the Justice of the Peace Court #7.  Ms. Fassett has been charged with two counts of Possession With The Intent To Deliver and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Mr. Carter has been charged with two counts of Possession With The Intent To Deliver and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Both were presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $20,500.00 unsecured for each of them.  Both are scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 10.18.2019 for a preliminary hearing.
