Investigation Leads To Multiple Charges For Pennsylvania Woman

On 10.27.2019 at approximately 7:53 pm, officers investigating a group of disorderly individuals at Brightway Commons contacted a Pennsylvania woman in a parked vehicle.  During this contact officers noticed the smell of marijuana.  Further investigation led to the seizure of Marijuana and Oxycodone.  As officers attempted to take Neajah Fassett, 22 of Chester, PA, into custody she struggled with them to prevent the arrest.  Ms. Fassett was eventually taken into custody and charged with Consumption of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Disorderly Conduct.  Ms. Fassett was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7 and released on her own recognizance.  Ms. Fassett is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 12.18.2019 for an arraignment.
