Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges For Milton Man

On 01.12.2020 Milford Police arrested a Milton man after an investigation during a traffic stop led to the seizure of pills and MDMA.   On 01.12.2020 an officer conducting traffic enforcement on Coastal Highway (SR 1) in the area of the Route 36 overpass observed a vehicle travelling in excess of the posted speed limit.  A subsequent traffic stop led to Dallas G. Taylor Jr., 46 of Milton, being contacted.  Further investigation during the stop led to pills and MDMA being seized.  The investigation also revealed Mr. Taylor’s driver’s license was suspended, as well as the vehicle having registration violations.  It was also learned that Mr. Taylor was wanted by Sussex County Family Court and the New Castle Court of Common Pleas.  Mr. Taylor has been charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving While Suspended, Failure to Transfer Title, and Unregistered Motor Vehicle.  Mr. Taylor was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3, where bail was set at $600.00 unsecured.  Mr. Taylor was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on the outstanding warrants from the courts.  Mr. Taylor is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on 02.10.2020 for an arraignment.
