Shooting Investigation Leads To Arrest Of Dover Man

On 10.08.2020 at approximately 8:47pm, officers from the Milford Police Department’s Criminal and Patrol Divisions responded to Wawa in the 900 block of North DuPont Boulevard (US Rt 113) to a report of a shooting. Investigation revealed a verbal argument ensued with several individuals at the gas pumps that led to a single round being fired from a handgun towards two individuals by the suspect. Neither individual was struck by the gunfire. Following the incident the suspect then fled in a vehicle northbound on North DuPont Boulevard (US Rt 113). The vehicle was later located by the Delaware State Police on Rt 1 in Dover. Kareem V. Williams, 33 of Dover, was taken into custody and later turned over to Detectives from the Milford Police Department. Mr. Williams was also found to be a person prohibited to possess a firearm during this investigation. Mr. Williams has been charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, two counts of Aggravated Menacing, two counts of Reckless Endanger First Degree, and Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited. Mr. Williams was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where bail was set at $57,500.00 cash only. Mr. Williams was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution.
