Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges For Dover Man

On 09/18/2021 Milford Police arrested a Dover man after a traffic stop led to the seizure of 218.7 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  On 09/18/2021 in the 200 block of Northeast Front Street (SR 14) officers were conducting traffic patrols due to an event in the area with a large amount of pedestrian traffic.  Vehicles were stopped allowing pedestrians to cross in a designated cross walk.  An officer in the area observed a silver passenger car approach and pass numerous vehicles on the left.  A subsequent stop of that vehicle and further investigation led to the seizure of drug paraphernalia and 218.7 grams of marijuana.  As a result of this investigation Corey O. Harris, 26 of Dover, was charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana Other Than Personal Use Quantity, Driving While Suspended, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Overtaking a Vehicle on the Left. Mr. Harris was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, and released on $7895.00 unsecured bond.  Mr. Harris is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 01/07/2022 for a Preliminary Hearing.
