On Monday April 15, 2024, the Milford Police Department received another bomb threat to Planet Fitness, located in the 600 block of N DuPont Blvd within the Milford Plaza.  This threat was similar to the threat that police received on Saturday, April 6, 2024 involving a string of bomb threats made to Planet Fitness locations throughout the State.  The patrol division responded to Planet Fitness and notified them of the threat.  Out of an abundance of caution, Planet Fitness management decided to evacuate their facility at 4:28 pm.  Milford PD requested the assistance of Capitol Police Department, who had one of their explosive K9 units respond to Milford’s Planet Fitness to do a bomb sweep of the facility.  At approximately 4:57 pm, Planet Fitness was declared safe by the K9 unit.  At that time, the facility was turned back over to Planet Fitness Management.  Milford PD cleared from incident.
