Investigation Into Shots Fired Leads To Multiple Arrests
On June 11th, 2023, at approximately 1:24 pm, officers from the Milford Police Department's Patrol Division responded to Silver Lake Estates after receiving a report of a shots fired. The investigation determined multiple rounds were fired damaging property in the complex. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The investigation, which was turned over to the Criminal Division, led to four individuals being identified in the incident. On June 16th, 2023, the Criminal Investigation Division, along with Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies took three subjects into custody without incident.
Deontray Watson, 21 of Dover, was charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, 8 Counts of Reckless Endangering 1st Degree, Receiving a Stolen Firearm, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and 3 Counts of Criminal Mischief Under $1000.
Davon P. Akins, 28 of Warner Robins, GA, was charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, 8 Counts of Reckless Endangering 1st Degree, Receiving a Stolen Firearm, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and 3 Counts of Criminal Mischief Under $1000.
Semaj Eley, 20 of Frederica, was charged Criminal Solicitation 2nd Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
All three have been committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction and are scheduled for Preliminary Hearings at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas. This investigation is ongoing and further information will be released, once the fourth suspect is apprehended. Detectives ask that anyone who has information about this to call Det.
