On November 17, 2023 at 3:17 p.m., Milford Police Department Patrol Division observed Matthew Satterfield, 58 of Harrington, DE, at Royal Farms located at 566 S DuPont Blvd, Milford, Sussex County, DE.  Officers were aware that Satterfield had multiple felony warrants and capias for his arrest.  When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Satterfield, he failed to stop for officers.  Officers pursued Satterfield to the area of Stayonville Rd. in Harrington DE., where he attempted to flee on foot. With the assistance of Delaware State Police (Patrol Division/Aviation Unit) and Milford Police Department’s K9 Unit, officers were able to locate Satterfield inside his residence and he was taken into custody without incident.
 
Satterfield was charged with Disregarding a Police Officer Signal, Resisting Arrest and several other traffic related charges.  He was also formally charged on four separate felony warrants that were issued by the Delaware State Police.  Satterfield had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court on the above charges and was committed to the Department of Correction in lieu of $22,200.00 USC secured bail and a $5000.00 USC cash bail on a Violation of Probation capias.  Satterfield was ordered to appear in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas at a later date.
