Two Charged in Robbery Investigation
On 02/14/2024 at approximately 10:35 p.m., Milford Police Department was dispatched to a business within the 600 block of NW Front St in reference to a robbery that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who stated that they were approached by the suspect, who after a short conversation, snatched their property from them and fled the scene in a vehicle.
Through the course of the investigation, patrol officers identified two suspects, Leondre Williams, 19 of Milford DE, and a 17 year old male. Further investigation was conducted by the Patrol Division and both suspects were located and taken into custody without incident.
Williams was charged with Robbery 2nd, Conspiracy 2nd and two counts of Unlawful Use of a Payment Card. Williams had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court and was committed to the Department of Correction on $1,900 secured bail. Williams was ordered to appear in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date for a preliminary hearing.
The 17-year-old juvenile was charged with Robbery 2nd, Conspiracy 2nd, and two counts of Unlawful Use of a Payment Card. The juvenile had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court and was released to his guardian. He was ordered to appear in Family Court at a later date regarding this case.
