School Resource Officer (SRO)


 The Milford Police Department has three officers assigned, full-time, as School Resource Officers to the Milford School District:

Sgt. Robert Masten is the department’s point of contact for Milford Senior High School

S/Cpl. Theresa Bloodsworth (pictured) is the department’s point of contact for the Elementary Schools

Pfc. Mikhail Stanton is the department’s point of contact for Milford Central Academy

Creating a Safe Learning Environment
The Community Policing Division includes of a school resource officer (SRO) who is certified by the National Association of School Resource Officers.

SROs are assigned to the Milford School District and they act as a peer to students, and an adviser on crime and criminal matters to the staff and administration of the school district. The SROs are responsible for all schools in the Milford School District.

The officer is responsible for investigating all crimes that occur within the schools.  In addition the SRO serves as an informal counselor and a teacher/guest speaker in classrooms.
